MOU Signed with George Mason University for Cooperative Education and Research

Ajou University and George Mason University have signed an MOU for mutual cooperation. George Mason University, founded in 1957, is a state university located in Fairfax, Virginia. 

 

On September 7, 2012, Dr. Jae-Hwan Ahn, the president of Ajou University, visited George Mason University to sign the MOU with Mason’s President Angel Cabrera. The MOU included a comprehensive agreement stating that the two universities will closely cooperate in education and research.

 

Participating in the MOU signing ceremony with Dr Ahn were Han-Cho Lim the dean of Ajou’s Graduate School, Min-Ku Kim, the head of the Planning Office, Seok-Won Lee, a professor of Software Convergence Technology, and Jung-Yong Yoon, the director of Ajou’s International Cooperation Office.

 

After the ceremony, Dr. Ahn and the other Ajou University representatives visited the CIP HS (Center for Infrastructure Protection Homeland Security), CBID (Center for Biodefense and Infectious Disease) and CSIS (Center for Secure Information Systems) to meet with those centers’ officials, learn about their research activities, and discuss future joint research projects.

 

Through the MOU agreement between the two universities, Ajou University is planning to develop long-term and short-term student exchange programs and promote educational cooperation.
